John Weigman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Generations Funeral Home & Crematory - Tomahawk on Jan. 22, 2026.
John "Jack" L. Weigman, age 80, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital. Jack was born on November 6, 1945, in Kaukauna, WI, to the late Leo and Helen (Sanders) Weigman. He was married to Vicki Crawford; she passed away on September 21, 2025.

Jack was a graduate of Kaukauna High School. Following high school, he served his country in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany. Jack was a very proud veteran and one of the great highlights of his life was participating in the Honor Flight, an experience he cherished. After returning home to Kaukauna, Jack worked for many years at Appleton Papers. He later dedicated himself to helping others as an AODA counselor, offering guidance, compassion, and encouragement to those in need. He also spent time driving people to medical and other appointments, always willing to lend a helping hand. Jack was known for his warm, social nature. He loved fishing, looked forward to daily coffee outings where he could visit with the guys, and was happiest when surrounded by people. He volunteered at the local soup kitchen and was a faithful member of The Rock Church and Northwoods Vineyard Church where he formed many close friendships. Throughout the community, Jack was well known and fondly recognized for his smiling personality and for cruising around town on his electric scooter, always ready with a wave or a friendly conversation.

Survivors include his daughters, Melanie (Todd) Jirikowic and Erin (Charles) Ermis; his stepdaughter, Gini Hendrickson; his brothers, Bob (Valinda) Weigman and Steve (Linda) Weigman; and his sisters, Rose Franzke, Sandi (Charles) Vanasten, and Jean (Randy) Huss. Jack is further survived by his grandchildren, Amanda Weigman, Justin Zobel, Connor Zobel, Taylor Ermis, and Gavin Ermis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Helen; his wife, Vicki Weigman; his son, Sean Weigman; and his grandson, Zachary Junio.

Memorial services with Military Honors will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 3:00 PM, at The Rock Church. Pastor Barry Rudesill will officiate. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00 PM until the time of services at 3:00 PM. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.

Jack was well-known & well-loved in Tomahawk.

Jack loved Jesus. Vicki. His family. The military. And his commUNITY.

May Faith in Jesus; friends; family; & fond memories of Jack strengthen his loved ones.

He no longer needs to run around in his Patriotic chair!

Jack was a good man,a straight shooter who said it like it was. Jack was a dear friend to my father and they had coffee at the coffee shop. I didn't know jack as well as some people knew him,but what I knew about Jack is that he was a nice guy,and always treated my dad well. I send my sincere condolences to jacks family and friends. Heaven will be a better, more beautiful place with jack. Rest in peace jack.
