Joseph Barry Kling was born in Riverside, California on March 24th, 1990 to Maria

Salome Kling and Barry James Kling - the 1st of two children. The family stayed in San Jacinto,

California before moving to the Portland area in 2014.

Joseph graduated from San Jacinto High School in 2008. It was during his school years

he met the love of his life, Jazmin. They were together for five years before marrying on

December 29th, 2011.

Joseph joined the United States Marine Corps in 2010 and served 4 years and one tour

in Afghanistan before being honorably discharged. From there, he went into excavation and

operated heavy equipment as a foreman.

Joseph enjoyed getting outside with his family by going to parks, lakes, rivers, and

beaches. He often went fishing with his dad and sons, played board games, and ate his favorite

spicy foods. He loved coaching his boys in the sports they participated in. Joseph's favorite

moments were spent with family, especially during the holidays. Joseph knew how to make

others laugh until their stomach's hurt, and knew what to say during difficult times. He was

empathetic, kind hearted, funny, and strong. He was a devoted son, husband, father, brother,

and friend.

He is survived by his two children, Liam and Koa. Joseph preceded in death his

loving wife, Jazmin; his parents, Barry and Maria; his sister, Sierra; his brother-in-law, Brad; his

nephew, Theodore; his adopted brother, Junior; and his nieces, Lila and Mia.
