Joseph Kobie,78, passed away peacefully on June 7, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on November 23, 1945 to Peter and Florence (Brzykcy) Kobie (deceased), in Berea, Ohio.
Joseph was the beloved husband of Maryanne with whom he shared almost 49 years of marriage, having tied the knot on June 28, 1975. Their years together were a testament to the vows that were taken on their wedding day. He always felt blessed and thankful for the wonderful children that were given to him by God. Together, they enjoyed spending time with their family, including children Robert (Erin) Kobie, Michael (Kim) Kobie and Kristen (Eric) Hardy. Loved by his sibling, Donald ( Barb) Kobie.
He was a pillar of support and endless amounts of laughter at family gatherings. A big part of his heart was dedicated to his grandchildren; Mac, Savannah, Mitch, Kiley, Miles, Buddy, Angel and Addie. They were definitely the light of his life.
Joseph enjoyed his career being a truck driver for Cleveland Growers and Cimino Box Company. He made many friends along the way. He also enjoyed growing a variety of vegetables in his garden. He has fond memories of the vacations that were taken with his family over the years. He took a great deal of pride in his ever growing Christmas Village that the entire family enjoyed taking part in.
He will be dearly missed by family and all who knew him.
VISITATION will be held on TUESDAY, June 11th from 3pm - 7pm at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. A FUNERAL MASS will be held on WEDNESDAY, June 12th at 10am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12700 Pearl Road. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
