Joseph Allen Kopp

Iron Mountain - Joseph Allen "Sleep" Kopp, 58, of 1221 Stockbridge, Iron Mountain, died Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at his home. He was born on Sept. 4, 1949 in Iron Mountain, the son of Howard and Lois (Oien) Kopp. Joe graduated from Iron Mountain High School. He worked at GMJ (formerly Hancock Wood Products) and Maracini's cabinets. While living in Texas, Joe worked for Pennzoil and Grace Drilling Companies. He was an avid music lover who enjoyed going to concerts with his friends. Joe is survived by his mother Lois Kopp of Iron Mountain, two daughters Rachael Kopp of Norway and Michelle (Ken) Athens of Chilton,WI, one son Anthony Sculati of Minnesota, two brothers Mike (Laurie) Kopp of Kingsford, and John (Kathy) Kopp of Menominee, MI, two sisters Mary (Chet) Shields of Menasha, WI and Laura (Michael) Paquin of Iron Mountain, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends and his cat Oon. Joe was preceded in death by his father Howard Kopp. Private family services will be held.
