Joseph N. Larish, 81, of Italy St. Mocanaqua, Pa, passed away on November 17th, 2025 at the VA Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pa following an acute illness, and a battle with aggressive Alzheimer's and dementia.
Born April 24, 1944 in Berwick, he was a son of the late Joseph and Sophie (Lupinski) Larish.
Joe stayed continuously employed throughout his years including work with the Columbia County Redevelopment Authority, the Berwick power plant and Penn Eastern Engineers. He served his country in the Navy aboard the USS Saratoga and was a proud member of the Polish Falcons, America Legion and VFW, but his greatest joys were his family, friends, his love of fishing and all things outdoors. Joe will be sadly missed by all who spent time with him doing what he loved.
He is survived by his son: Bradley and his wife Danielle of Avoca, Pa, one brother: Richard of Berwick, Pa, and two sisters: Mary Ann (Pawlush) and Linda (Milakovic) of Mocanaqua, Pa.
In addition to his wife Bonnie Lee (Bojonny) Larish and parents, Joseph is preceded in death by one daughter: Carrie Jo Larish and, and one sister: Carol (Killian).
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 5PM to7PM at the Mayo Funeral Home, 77 North Main Street, Shickshinny. A brief service will be held following the visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayo Funeral Home, Inc., Shickshinny.
