Joseph "Lil Joe" Lee LaRocca, Jr., a beloved husband, father, son, uncle, and friend, passed away on November 4, 2025, at the age of 50. Born on January 25, 1975, in Lake Charles, LA, Joe was a proud graduate of Bell City High School and spent much of his career as an Operations Manager with CEI Transportation, a role he truly enjoyed.
Joe was a dedicated family man, survived by his loving spouse, Donna Miller, and his children: Hunter Joseph LaRocca (Cadence Martinez), Brittney Danielle Cotten (Trent), and Dylan Miller. He also cherished his role as a grandfather to Evangeline "EJ" and Phoebe "Cletus." Joe leaves behind his supportive father, Joseph LaRocca, Sr., his mother, Rebecca LaRocca, a brother, Michael LaRocca, and a sister, Kristy Romine (Byron), and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will deeply miss him.
A veteran of the Army, Joe held his Catholic faith close to his heart. He had a passion for the outdoors, often spending his time hunting and fishing, and he was well-known for rescuing animals, creating a little haven on his property that was home to a variety of beloved critters.
Friends and family are invited to remember Joe and celebrate his life at the public visitation, which will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa on November 7, 2025, starting at 10:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow that same day at 2:00 p.m. at the same location. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery.
In our hearts, Joe will always be remembered for his kindness, adventurous spirit, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. Rest easy, Joe-you will be missed more than words can express.
