Joseph Lazarus Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hauss-Modetz Funeral Home on Jan. 11, 2026.
Joseph Lazarus, of Warren, peacefully passed away on January 9, 2026, at the age of 84.
Joseph was the devoted husband of Victoria for more than 60 years, with whom he raised five children. He cherished his family above all else, and the void left by his passing will be deeply felt by everyone whose lives he touched.
He was the beloved husband of Victoria; a loving father to John (Sheri), Amy, Ruby, David, and Mark; and a proud grandfather to Tavia, Benjamin, Tanisha, Aubrey, Naomi, Joshua, John Jr., Jasmine, David Jr., Mariya, Sophia, and Isaiah. Joseph was also a cherished great-grandfather to Jaxon (9), Madilynn (7), Christian (16), Jaden (14) and Zoey (5).
Joseph was born on June 15, 1941, in Sialkot, Pakistan, to Lazarus and Chand Bebe. After immigrating to the United States in 1974, he made his home in Warren, Michigan, where he built a life defined by family, faith, and hard work.
Joseph enjoyed a long and remarkable career in Information Technology, most recently with Ford Motor Company. He took great pride in his work and concluded his professional career in early 2025. A man of deep faith, Joseph faithfully served the church for many years and, alongside Victoria, proudly graduated from Bible Training School in 2004.
Joseph will be remembered for his unconditional love for his family and his quiet strength, grounded in an unwavering faith. He lived with grace and humility, consistently placing the needs of others before his own. His legacy of compassion and faithful service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. Having been called home to the Lord, Joseph now rests in eternal peace and will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at Hauss-Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank Road, Macomb.
Burial will take place immediately following the service at Glen Eden Lutheran Park Cemetery – East, 19810 26 Mile Road, Macomb.
