Joseph Libbon Obituary
Joseph was born on April 27, 1921 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the oldest of four children born to Frank Anthony Libbon and Frances Rose (Pugliese) Libbon.
A gentle, good-natured man of few material wants, Joe was at his happiest when he was surrounded by friends and family. He was a wonderful storyteller and spoke of the past with great gusto. He died the way he lived, joking and making others laugh.
Joe is survived by his sister, Lucille (Libbon) Jacobus; his nieces, Stephanie Libbon, who became his devoted caregiver in his later years, Francine Libbon, Samantha Libbon and Adriana Jones; his nephews, Donald Libbon, David Libbon, Steven Libbon, Christopher Libbon, Michael Jacobus, Robert Jacobus and Ronald Libbon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Critelli) Libbon; his brothers, Frank and Robert Libbon.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Per his wishes no services will be held.
