Joseph Cline Life, 62, of Asheboro, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025 at his residence.
He was born on July 18, 1962, in Parkersburg, WV, to Joseph Earl Life and Naomi Ruth McCrady Bayer. He graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1980 where he was on the football team and a member of the Big Red Band.
Joe spent most of his career in the car business in West Virginia and finishing his career in North Carolina. He loved fast cars, building and racing cars, and his '79 Camaro. He always had a great come-back and could make everyone laugh. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling, and being with friends and family.
He loved loud music, guns, sports, and most of all his family. He took great pride in caring for his mother. He was very proud of all of his grandchildren, bragging about them to almost anyone who would listen.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Cline and Vesta McCrady, Rev. Joseph and Estel Life; step-father, Larry Bayer; step-mother, Donna Life; and beloved niece, Katelynn Stoops.
He will be remembered by his mother, Ruth Bayer; father, Earl Life; children, Ashlee (Joe) Bender, Joey (Mary Kate) Life, Amanda (Donminick) Nichols; sisters, Christie (Bobby) Stoops, Zabrina (Robert) Fordyce, Alicia Kyer; step-sisters, Teresa (Randy) Martin, Lisa (Bud) West; grandchildren, Braden, Alexia, Jacob, Nathan, Nicholas, Joshua, Olivia, Hudson; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2025, at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, NC.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Parkersburg, West Virginia.
