Mike, Cindy and family...Donna and I are so sorry to hear about Joe. Just found out today from someone else's Facebook page. As you know, we left St. Martin's a few years ago and have attended many other churches. We go to St. Lawrence sometimes and last saw Joe and Mike there after mass when we all had some coffee and donuts. He was a great guy and was always so happy to see me. I really enjoyed when he sang along with the church band at St. Martin's and how he related to everyone in his own special way. We've been a bit out of the loop and must tell you how sorry we are for your loss. We would have paid our respects had we known in time. God bless Joe and all of you.

I always loved giving Holy Communion to Joe. He loved the mass and the Blood of Christ was lip-smacking good to him. With some adults, you worry if they believe it to be only wine used as a symbol, but I never worried with Joe. Even if he didn't say 'Amen', his heart did. I shall also remember the joy he received - and brought - bringing up the lectionary. He was involved, doing his part, and the child that Jesus says to "Let the children come to me." We are very sorry for your loss and mourn with you.

Last summer I was at Mass in Lexington and who should I hear enthusiastically responding but Joey. Once again he made me smile. Blessings at this time. Ms. Denise
