Joseph Thomas Luby, 87, a lifelong resident of Muskingum County, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, August 4th, 2025. Born on March 7, 1938, he was the beloved son of the late Paul and Florence (Bennett) Luby, and younger brother to the late Patrick Luby, Mary Jane (Luby) Showalter, and Florence Ann (Luby) Schmall. Joseph served his country as a veteran of the United State Army. A man of faith, quiet strength and deep roots, Joseph spent his life on the land he loved, working as a dedicated dairy farmer until his retirement. His days were marked by hard work, humility, and an unwavering commitment to family. Joseph was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Carol Ann (Perone) Luby, Married November 7, 1962 Luby, and his beloved daughter, Jo Ann (Luby) (Nathan) Huntwork. Their memory lived on in his stories and in the gentle pride he carried for his family. He is survived by his sons, Michael (Amy) Luby and John (Bridgette) Luby, who will endeavor to carry forward his name and legacy. Joseph was a proud grandfather to Aydin Huntwork, Britani Williams, and Parker Schehl, each of whom brought him great joy.
