Joseph A. Mannina, Jr., 87, of Dunlevy, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025 at AHN Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Hills. Born August 17, 1938 in Brownsville, PA he was the son of the late Joseph Mannina Sr. and Nellie Bondi Mannina. Mr. Mannina was a member of St. Andrew The Apostle RC Church, Charleroi, retired from Whg-Pgh Steel Allenport, where he worked as an electrician. In earlier years he built and operated Joe's Twin Twist ice cream shop, Dunlevy, was very handy around the house being a jack of all trades. When he played football for the Cougars he was nicknamed 'Joe the Toe' for his kicking abilities. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by wife Frances Pollifroni Mannina to whom he was married 64 years; daughter Carla Sevcik of Carroll Twp., son Joseph Mannina III of Chartiers Twp., daughter & son in law Gina & Kevin Borkowski of Lancaster; five grandchildren Michelle & Penny Sevcik, Dylan & Abby Borkowski, Shannon Borkowski, Jacqueline Mannina, Gianna Mannina; great granddaughter Evelyn Borkowski and numerous nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Rose Carson, brother James Martino, daughter in law Elaine Mannina, son in law Michael Sevcik.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held Wednesday at 9:45 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:30 am at St. Andrew The Apostle RC Church, Charleroi. Interment will take place in Howe Cemetery, Coal Center.
