Joseph Wayne Martin, age 61 of Pleasureville passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Joseph started working at American Emblem at age 18 right out of High School and then worked his way up, even thru the purchase of Black & Decker. He continued working as long as he could until MS made it impossible. He retired as a Maintenance Supervisor with 23+ years of service. He was an avid UK Basketball Fan. Joseph was the son of the late William Albert, Sr. & Gracie Frances (Allen) Martin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda (Samples) Martin and a brother James “Jimmy” Everett Martin.

Sister: Sandra Ashcraft (Roy) of Shelbyville
Brother: William Martin, Jr. of Pleasureville
Nephews: Jeremy Lyons (Sarena), Scott Sanford (Kristen) and RJ Ashcraft
4 Great Nephews and 3 Great Nieces
Funeral Service: 11 AM Friday, March 20, 2026 at Prewitt Eminence Funeral Home. Officiated by Bro. Robert Rosa.
Interment: Eminence Cemetery
Memorial Contributions: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
Visitation: 5 to 8 PM Thursday, March 19, 2026 Prewitt Eminence Funeral Home.
