Joseph "Joe" McDonald passed away on April 10, 2025 at home in Red Bank, NJ. Joe was born on June 21. 1937 in Corona. NY, grew up in Keansburg and then spent most of his life in various towns in Monmouth County to include Keansburg, Ocean Port. Middletown, Atlantic Highlands and Red Bank. Joe and Rosemarie were also Florida snowbirds for over 20 years before returning to Red Bank on a full time basis five years ago.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Rosemarie. He leaves behind a large family to include his daughter Patti and her husband Charlie, a son Ed and his wife Linda a son Chris. a son Ray, ten grandchildren to include Nick and his wife Jenna, Billy and his wife Fatima, Sakura, Amanda and her husband Ben. Matt, Katy, Christian, Josh. Jared and Noah. and five great grandchildren.
Joe was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Katherine McDonald and a brother Raymond "Bud". Joe's sister, Pat and her husband Dick continue to reside in Atlantic Highlands.
Joe graduated from Saint John's Pharmaceutical School in 1959 and was a long time partner in Bayshore Pharmacy in Atlantic Highlands.
Joe enjoyed golf and poker which he played on a regular basis until the last few years.
Lately, Joe has enjoyed his weekly outing with his breakfast buddies and the "wine" club at the Elements Apartment in Red Bank. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Joseph, please visit our floral store.
