Joseph Samuel McJunkin, 88, of Bartlett, TN passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025 at his home. Mr. McJunkin is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Glenda McJunkin; son, Scott (Cindy) McJunkin; daughter, Sheri Lee; and stepson, Ernie (Kristi) Ainsworth. He is survived by 4 grandchildren; Andrew (Amanda) McJunkin, Megan (Wade) Scott, Janna (Brandon) Young, Keith (Amanda) Ainsworth; 6 great-grandchildren; Bo Ainsworth, Isabella and Sam McJunkin, Scarlett, Riser and Wilder Scott.
Sam is preceded in death by his father, Samuel McJunkin; mother, Lillian Smith; brother, Jim McJunkin; and sister, JoAnn McJunkin.
Sam was quite the sport enthusiast. He enjoyed rebuilding antique cars, motorcycle riding across the country, racing cars, flying airplanes, boating and fishing. Sam was also a talented jewelry maker.
Prior to retiring, his telephone communications company took him all over the country.
A memorial service will take place on June 14, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at the Ellendale Church of Christ located at 7365 Highway 70 (Summer Ave.), Bartlett, TN.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Ellendale Church of Christ, Children's Homes, Inc. or to the charity of your choice.
