Joseph Murrell McKenzie

Joseph Murrell McKenzie, 65, of Cumberland, MD passed away at home December 24, 2025.
Born August 4, 1960 in Cumberland he was the son of Carole McKenzie and the late John McKenzie.
Joe graduated from Beall High School in 1978. He had a career as a maintenance supervisor for the Cumberland Housing Authority and later at the Cumberland Arms Senior Apartments.
He was known for enjoying motorcycles and his Hot Wheels. He loved spending time with family, especially his son and grandchildren.
Surviving is his son, John E. McKenzie and wife Jenna; grandchildren, Aiden, Parker, Dean, and Brooke McKenzie; a brother, Timothy McKenzie; a sister, Cheryl Stansberry of Kettering, OH; and his large extended family including niece, nephew, and many cousins.
A visitation will be Sunday, December 28th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland, MD 21502.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date, and burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, MD.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
