Moultrie, Georgia – Joseph “Joe” Robert Monday, 50, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center, while surrounded by his family.
A service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Caleb Davis officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service.
Born October 14, 1974, in Detroit, Michigan he was a son of Edward Raymond Monday and Linda Ann Geller Garrison.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Chris Monday.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator with Smith Land Service and enjoyed remote control cars and airplanes, hunting, fishing, the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs and playing golf. He had a quick wit and never met a stranger.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Gavin Monday; brothers, Donny Garrison and Rob Garrison; and his longtime companion, Lynn Presley.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
