Joseph Kenneth Moravcik

Joseph Kenneth Moravcik, Jr., a resident of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the age of 89.

He was born October 29, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Joseph and Margaret Kortas Moravcik. He spent his childhood growing up with his two sisters and 2 brothers.

He married his sweetheart the former Joyce Ann Boyko who preceded him in death November 13, 2023.

Joseph served in the United States Army from January 1955 until August 1964, offering nearly a decade of dedicated service to his country. After returning to civilian life, he built a meaningful career as a computer operator, first in the pharmaceutical field and later within the auto industry.

A true Michigander at heart, he enjoyed following local sports and took special pleasure in cheering for his favorite golfer. His artistic gifts were unmistakable. Whether working with acrylics, oils, pencil, or charcoal, his creations were consistently striking and full of character. Inspired by Bob Ross of The Joy of Painting, Joseph often painted in a similar style-producing landscapes, portraits, detailed drawings, and spontaneous sketches that reflected his deep love of art.

He also possessed a remarkable talent for puzzles. Over the years, he completed more than one thousand jigsaw puzzles, with several framed and placed on permanent display at the facility where he lived-quiet tributes to his patience, focus, and creativity.

Joseph leaves behind a legacy defined by his artist's eye-the rare ability to see beauty in the world and translate it onto canvas. His work, his passions, and the joy he found in creating will continue to speak for him.

Joseph is survived by his children Kenneth (fiancée Tina) Moravcik and Cynthia (Mark) Siskowski, his grandchildren, Jennifer (Ryan), Angelica, Jayson (Amy) Eric, Heidi and Michael (Emma). Also surviving are great grandchildren, Jayson, Jr. and Chazia, his siblings, Constance (the late John) Gasko, Larry (Margo) Moravcik, Leonard (Fio) Moravcik, and nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by daughter Dee Ann Moravcik, grandson Paul Siskowski and sister Audrey Pilarowski. Cremation services have bee entrusted to the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main, Mt. Clemens, Michigan.
