Joseph George Myron, a beloved father, husband, Papa and friend, passed away on February 4th, 2025, at the age of 77.
Joe is survived by his daughters Dawn Pierce (Randy) and their children Alex and Ashley Pierce, Lynn Maietta and her children Michael & Jessica Maietta. His brother Thomas Myron (Wendy) and Brother-in-Law Paul J Herfel Jr (Alicia). Joe's wife Lola of 29 years pre-deceased him in October 2002. He was lucky to find love a second time with his Companion Patrice Rogienski for the past 17 years.
Joe was raised in Hicksville, played Little League Baseball, and graduated from Hicksville High School in 1966. He went on to Serve in the United States Air Force as an Air Police Sergeant in Germany.
Joe married Lola Ann Herfel (class of 1968) in May 1973 and they began their family who were also born and raised in Hicksville. Joe lived out the remainder of his life in Hicksville too. He was known as a Car Guy and owned a 1932 Chevy Coupe, 1964 Corvette, and 2007 Corvette. He was a Board Member of the V.C.C.A and part of many Senior Citizen clubs. Joe loved to ride his motorcycle, go camping, snowmobile, and DANCE!! Joe was loved by his family and friends and will be missed dearly.
Funeral services will be held at Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, 47 Jerusalem Ave Hicksville, NY 11801. Visitation will be held on Saturday February 8, 2025, from 2-6pm. A Funeral mass will be held on Monday February 10, 2025, at 11:15 AM at St. Ignatius R.C. Church, 129 Broadway Hicksville, NY 11801. Christian Burial to follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY
