Joseph Francis "Joe" Neas

Joseph Francis "Joe" Neas, 71, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

Joe was born in Columbus, Ohio, to Miriam and Frank Neas. He spent much of his life working in construction and owned his own business for many years. Joe was known for helping those in need, often stepping in to lend his skills and support even when people could not afford to pay. His generosity and willingness to help others left a lasting impact on many lives.

Joe was happiest when surrounded by his family, spending time at his ranch near Ramah, New Mexico, or flying his Cessna. He also loved riding and rebuilding motorcycles and spent many years working on them alongside his brother Mike. The lives he touched through his kindness, friendship, and willingness to help others are too many to name.

Joe is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan Neas; his daughters, Weslea O'Connor and her husband Patrick O'Connor, and Autumn Neas and her partner Patrick Real; and his grandchildren, Abby and Carol. He is also survived by his siblings, Meg Vandermeiden and Mike Neas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Miriam Neas; his siblings, Harold (Ted) Neas and Maureen Neas; and his in laws, Marjorie and Wilton Spradley.

In accordance with the family's wishes, services will be private.
