Joseph V. Nitti, a dedicated and hardworking individual, passed away surrounded by loved ones on September 24, 2025, in Bloomingdale, Illinois, at the age of 66. Born on May 11, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, Joe embodied selflessness taking care of his family and friends throughout his life.
Joe’s professional journey spanned an impressive 46 years at Prime Scaffold, where he began as a truck driver. Through his loyalty and tireless work ethic, he ascended to an ownership role, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and employees alike.
In addition to his professional achievements, Joe was known for being a generous family man. He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory. Joe is survived by his devoted wife, Laura Nitti; his daughters, Angela Bolognino (and her husband Chris), Michelle Netz (and her husband Jeffrey), Alicia Ehrhard (and her husband Tim), and Kristine Flood (and her husband Thomas). He also leaves behind his brothers Nick Nitti and Michael Nitti, his sisters, Marie Tokarski, Sassi D'Amico, and Micki Sodergren, along with sister-in-laws Judy Nitti, Mary Lou Costabile, Teri Costabile and brother-in-laws Steve Sodergren and Richard Costabile and mother-in-law Linda Costabile. Joe was adored by his many nieces and nephews. In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren, Joey, Christopher, Tony Bolognino, Laura and Lisa Netz, Maddie, Michael, JoJo, and Mila Ehrhard, and Tommy, Brody, and Andrea Flood, all of whom were greatest joys of his life.
Joe was predeceased by his father, Michael Nitti, his mother, Sonia Nitti, father in law Louis Costabile and his brothers-in-law, Ken Tokarski and Pat D'Amico, and Johnny Costabile.
Visitation for Joseph V. Nitti will take place on September 29, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels in Roselle, Illinois. Prayers and final viewing will start at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will follow at St. Isidore Parish in Bloomingdale, beginning at 10:45 AM
Joe’s remarkable contributions to those around him will not be forgotten, and his spirit will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of family and friends. His legacy is one of hard work, love, and generosity.
