Joseph Nowicki Obituary

Joseph "Joe" William Nowicki, age 79, of Oshkosh passed away on Friday afternoon July 5, 2024 at his residence. Joe was born in Oshkosh on May 4, 1945 the son of Leo and Marian (Whittemore) Nowicki. Joe married Ellen Sue Oswald on April 22, 1967 at St. Vincent's Catholic Church.

Joe was employed at Mercury Marine for 39 years as a mechanic. He loved hunting, fishing and attending the motorcycle races in Springfield, IL with his sons. He was a faithful member of St. Jude Parish (Sacred Heart Church).

Joe is survived by his wife, Ellen Nowicki of Oshkosh. Two sons, Scott (Melissa) Nowicki and Jeff Nowicki all of Oshkosh. One brother, Jerry (Sue) Nowicki of Oshkosh. Two sisters, Marge (Mike) Bork of DePere and Carol (Mike) Zimmerman of Appleton. Four grandchildren, Josh (Fiancée Hannah), Dylan (Jess), Cody (Alicia) and Emma. Great grandchildren, Mason, Joe and Maria. Also many special friends, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Greg.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 11 am at St. Jude Parish (Sacred Heart Church on the corner of 6th & Knapp). Father Louis Golamari will be the celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 am until the time of Mass. Committal services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in his name.
