Joseph Patrick "Pat" O'Connor, 74, a lifelong resident of Emmett, passed away on July 7, 2025.
He was born on April 3, 1951, in Almont, Michigan to Madeline (Scheible) and the late Leo O'Connor.
On November 1, 1976, Pat married the love of his life, Linda Kremski. They shared 22 wonderful years of marriage before her passing on July 10, 1999. Their bond was strong, and her memory remained close to Pat's heart for the rest of his life.
Pat served honorably in the United States Navy from 1971 to 1975. Following his military service, he continued a career in public service at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, where he worked until his retirement. His dedication and work ethic left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Pat found joy in the simple pleasures-spending time on the golf course and cheering on his favorite Detroit sports teams. Whether it was the Tigers, Lions, Pistons, or Red Wings, he was a loyal fan through every season.
Surviving are his children; Ryan (Audrey) and Erin (Joe); grandchildren, Sean, Chase, Morgan, and Lucas; mother, Madeline; siblings, Karen Perry, Janet (Bob) Butler, Mary O'Connor, Diane (Bob) Uppleger, Lynne (Marty) Cirello, Mike (Cindy) O'Connor, Jim (Maryann) O'Connor; brother-in-law, Steve Bular; sister-in-law, Cindy McMahon; as well as many, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, father, and sister, Maureen.
The family honors the memory of Joseph and invites you to visit and share memories Monday, July 14, 2025 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond.
