Joseph Reed Plassmeyer, Sr., age 66, of Monaca, PA, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 3, 2025. He was born in New Brighton, PA on November 18, 1958 and was the son of the late David and Mary Starner Plassmeyer. Joseph was employed as an inspector for the construction industry for many years. He was an avid bowler and loved watching his grandchildren play baseball and softball.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Picknell Plassmeyer; sons, Joseph Reed (Stephanie)Plassmeyer, Jr. of New Brighton, PA; Joshua (Sheila) Plassmeyer of Monroeville, PA; Eric (Jennifer) Adams of Tilton, NH; grandchildren, Westley Plassmeyer; Nolan Plassmeyer; Shaylee Plassmeyer; Gabriella Plassmeyer; Grant Plassmeyer; Gracie Plassmeyer; Keegan Adams; Hallie Adams; and sister, Liza Plassmeyer of Monaca, PA.
In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his sister, Rhonda Plassmeyer.
Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Joseph’s memory on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Campbell’s Chippewa Funeral Home, Inc., 2618 Darlington Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010 (Randy R. Wheeler, supervisor, 724-843-2500).
