Joseph Preval Obituary
Joseph was born in Haiti on December 20, 1944 a son of the late, Antoinier Michaud Preval and Rose Sylvie Fils-Aime.
He came to the U.S. in the early 70's, where he lived a fulfilling life by taking care of his family. Joe was very charismatic and fun to be around. He enjoyed making people laugh and was passionate about all sports in general. One of his most favorite sports, was soccer and primarily Brazil. At his retirement age, he went back to his homeland, Haiti where he worked with all the youth in the community. He had created a soccer team to build the youth's morale and keep the children away from bad influence. He was inspirational to all children and ages. What was amazing about Joe, when he would flew back to the U.S. to be with his children and grandchildren, he would have many memorable moments. Another thing to know about Joe is when he would go back to Haiti, he would purchase multiple items (i.e. notebooks, pens notepads and pencils) for school age children and hand out these items to those in need. In his community, he was a mediator to assist people who had conflicts and marriage counseled, even though he didn't have the degree. Joe was also a founder of a church in his community. The community, the family, the children, the youth in his community, will greatly miss his laugh and his presence.
Surviving are siblings; Jean-Mary Preval, Jean-Michael Preval, Clunie Preval, Ruth Preval and Monique Preval, children; Monide Preval, Witzerlande Preval, Jean Gerard Preval and Lingh Preval, 13 grandchildren; Mickerson Charlider Dormetus, Modlet Orelus, Melchoir Orelus, John-Wedner Orelus, Wan-Edens Orelus, James-Carl Ewens Orelus, Jasmine King, Gabrielle King, Shawn Preval, Shania Preval, Stephen Preval, Sheila Preval and Jenenva Preval and 5 great grandchildren.
