Born to the late Joseph S. and Vivian Ray (Murphy) in Boston on March 23rd, 1954.
Joseph was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother uncle and son who lived a life of purpose and passion while taking the time to nurture and appreciate the people who mattered most in his life.
An avid New England Patriot Fan Joe enjoyed planning family gatherings and any event centered around football. In all these things, the role he treasured most was that of a grandfather.
Joe's commitment and connections to his family, friends and work will live on in our hearts forever.
Predeceased by his parents, the late Joseph and Vivian Ray and his brother Timothy Ray.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Diane M. Ray (Saraceno) of Billerica, his sons Joseph and Timothy (Faith Sullivan) of Billerica, his grandchildren Gemma and Daniel of Billerica, his sister Vivian and her partner Brian Lee of Springfield, his brother Tommy and his wife Sheila of South Weymouth, numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Family and Friends are respectfully invited to gather and remember the love Joe shared with us all during visiting hours on Saturday, September 20th from 10:30am until 11:30 am, in The Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco and Sons Memorial Chapels located, 773 Moody Street Waltham, MA. Parking attendants will be on duty.
A celebration of Joe's Life will begin at 11:30 AM.
Those who would like to pay their respects to Joe and his family but are unable to attend are welcome to sign the Family's guestbook at www.BrascoFuneralHome.com
In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made in Joe's loving memory to The American Cancer Society at www.donate.cancer.org
