Joseph Carl Routhier

Joseph "Joe" Carl Routhier, age 29, of Minneapolis, MN, unexpectedly passed away on October 3rd, 2024.He was born on March 26th,1995, to Barbara (Kiefer) Routhier and Eric Routhier in Burnsville, MN.
Joe grew up in Farmington, MN and graduated from Farmington Senior High School in 2013. He later attended Nursing School at Winona State University and graduated from Rasmussen Nursing Program in 2022.
He worked as a Registered Nurse at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. He loved being a nurse. He took his time to get to know his patients and always jumped in to help his coworkers. He was very kind, compassionate, and patient.
He played hockey throughout his childhood and played football in High School. He also really enjoyed playing video games. He loved animals, especially his pet cat, Wiz. He loved music and movies. He loved fishing with his dad, Eric, and swimming with his niece, Anna. Joe was always so helpful. He was his dad's second pair of hands for whatever project he was working on. He was always so thoughtful, and never showed up empty handed.
Joe is survived by his parents, Barbara and Eric Routhier of Alexandria, MN; his sister, Holly Routhier; brother in-law, Jacob (Jake) Severson; nieces Anna (3) and Elizabeth (1) Severson of Apple Valley, MN; Grandmother, Roberta Kiefer of St. Louis, MO; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Barbara and Ronald Routhier of Flushing, MI, and Larry Kiefer, Sr. of St. Louis, MO; and his Aunt Kathy Routhier of Muskegon, MI.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at Bourbon Butcher in Farmington, MN on Saturday, October 26th, 2024 from 1PM to 5PM. All are invited and welcome to attend.
