Joseph A. Salzgaber

Joseph Alexander Salzgaber, always known as Big Joe, passed away on May 19, 2024 at OSU in Columbus, Ohio at the age of 47. Joe was born to Michael Louis Salzgaber and Sandy Lynn Salzgaber on February 28, 1977. Joe was a cherished husband and stepdad, beloved brother, wonderful son, and an amazing friend.
Joe got his love of motorcycles from his dad and was a lifelong rider who loved taking his wife, Dee, on rides of pleasure and participating in Poker Runs for charity. Like many Ohioans, Joe was an avid, lifelong and diehard Buckeye fan. Joe's main profession was driving big rigs and he enjoyed doing the long, over the road trips...Dee didn't mind too much, as he was out of her hair for a few days.
On July 24,2021, Joe married the love of his life, Delores. Joe was the husband that every lady dreams of and Dee was always so happy and proud in her marriage to Joe. He was such a good person to her mother, Barb Taylor, family, and friends...he was loved by all and will be missed for a lifetime.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Sandy Salzgaber; father, Mike (Cheryl) Salzgaber; and brother, Michael Lee. He is survived in death by his wife, Delores Salzgaber; sister, Tonya Salzgaber; nephew, Damion Gesling; his stepmother, Cheryl Salzgaber; his stepbrother, Todd Brennan; his cousin, Zach (Jennifer) Hall; his stepchildren, Bryden (Kylie), Phalisha (Eric), and Shayla (Ryan); granddaughters, Gracie and Ellie; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial Service to honor Joe's life will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Moreland Funeral Home located at 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081.
Joe will be remembered as a loving, kind husband to Dee, a wonderful little brother to Tonya, a good brother to Todd, and a loving stepson to Cheryl. Joe's laughter, love of life, sense of humor, and kindness will be missed by all.
