Joseph Scorsone Obituary

Born in Rochester, NY, Joseph resided in Columbus and Chesterfield, NJ for the last 45 years. Joseph was a parishioner at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish in Bordentown. He enjoyed training, driving and racing standard bred horses, landscaping, card games, and billiards. Most of all he loved being with his grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife Maureen Perfect; his children, Greg, Brian and Heidi Scorsone, Evonne Richardson (Harvey) and Ellery Perfect (Patricia); 13 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 8:30AM to 10:30AM, at the Huber-Moore Funeral Home 517 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown, NJ. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11AM, at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, 45 Crosswicks Road, Bordentown, NJ.
Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

You don´t know me and I didn´t know Joe but he drove Steady Franklin, my all time favorite race horse. I watched him in person and loved the way he raced him on the front end. One evening at Liberty Bell he led wire to wire in 1:58.4 when it was rare to break 2 minutes. He sprinted the whole race and took him to the 3/4 pole in 1:27.3 and coasted home. To this day I think of the two of them. Joe was a great driver!!! May God Bless the Scorsone family with peace during this difficult time. Greg Gehman
