Joseph Seader Obituary
Joseph Edward Seader was born on December 14, 1931, in Croydon, PA. He grew up in Bristol, the son of Joseph Oscar Seader and Freda Kunigunida (Leuschel) Seader.
In 1943, Joe graduated from Bristol High School, going on to attend Ryder College in Trenton, NJ, from which he received a BS degree in accounting.
He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict as a Boilerman Petty Officer 2nd Class, serving on the USS Midway from 1951 until he was honorably discharged in 1954.
After his service in the US Navy, Joe continued to serve his country, working as an auditor for the Defense Contract Audit Agency for 25 years.
Joe met the love of his life, Charlotte Helen Smith, while Charlotte was in the 10th grade. They wedded in 1959 at Saint Mark Parish Church, in Bristol, and were happily married for 40 years until Charlotte's death.
His deep Catholic faith was a source of consolation to Joe throughout his life, in both happy times and sad.
Joe loved to go to Ocean City, MD, and spoil his grandchildren with funnel cake and boardwalk fries.
Joe is survived by two daughters, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to his viewing Saturday April 20, 2024, 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church followed by mass at 11:00 am. Interment will be held at Our lady of Grace Cemetery at 12:30 pm
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Charities USA.
