Joseph D. Sestito, 82, of Marlborough. MA, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Framingham in 1943, the son of the late Pasquale and Margaret (Adair) Sestito and lived in Sudbury growing up and in Marlborough for the majority of his adult life. He is survived by his 3 children, Sherri Hayes and her husband Barry of Blackstone, Rick Sestito and his wife Sandy of North Attleboro and Janice Hoffert and her husband Eric of Northborough, 4 grandchildren, Amanda, Tia, Richie and Amber, 4 great grandchildren, Kayla, Christopher, Arianna, Olivia and his siblings William Sestito of NH, Michael Sestito of lowa and Margaret Sestito of South Carolina. Additional siblings are the late Donald Sestito, Patricia Mercer, Leonard Sestito and Antonina Martell.

Joe worked at a farm in Sudbury when he was a young man and was a meatcutter at various grocery stores including IGA, Big D, and Price Chopper and restaurants in the Marlboro area for most of his work life. He was also a carpenter for many years and helped remodel the popular Jakes restaurant in Marlborough, MA.

A sweet and loving father and grandfather, he loved spending time with his family and always put a smile on every face he came across. His cooking was legendary and if you came to his house for a meal you would leave with a full and happily satisfied belly. Joe will be missed by everyone that knew him and mostly by his children and grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date, allowing friends and family to gather and share memories.
