Brad grew up in the Augusta area and attended grade school in Chelsea and Cony High School. At the age of 17, he enlisted in the Air Force and proudly served for 2.5 years.
Upon his return home, Brad started a family and began working. He held a variety of jobs including working in Lipman's Poultry, a variety of general stores, and Shaw's Lumber. In addition, he owned Shaw's Auto Garage in Randolph, a gym, and most notably was the long time owner of Fuss-Budget Sports cards in downtown Augusta. He took pride in the business and could be found working there every day.
Brad was an avid sports fan, particularly of all New England Sports teams.
He was predeceased by two sons: John Shaw, Joseph B. Shaw III, and his siblings.
Brad is survived by his loving partner of 47 years, Patricia Julien; his children: Jon Shaw and his wife Michelle, and Nathan Julien; his grandchildren: Josh "Hank" Shaw and his wife Brittney, Jordan Shaw, and Alaina Julien and Rylee Estabrook; and great grandchildren: Arya and Theo Shaw.
A celebration of life will be held at a date and time to be announced. Arrangements have been entrusted to: Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, ME 04330.

He was such a nice man . Always honest, and fair at trading cards. He taught me how to use the beckett book. God got another angel in heaven.

Brad was truly one of the best. I've known Brad for over 40 years. I had started weightlifting in the basement of his store which was truly an iron Man workout. No fancy equipment. Just heavy weights and a man that loved to lift through the years. My oldest son still one to install buying sport cards. Brian always had a smile on his face and a story to tell

Brad was the best,always a smile and a good sports story.I bought wood toys for my son there for christmas ,still have them 25 years later.He will be missed ,one of the good guys.
