Joseph William Shelafoe

Joseph William Shelafoe was born on June 11, 1945 in Tacoma, Washington to the late Joseph Francis Shelafoe and Dorothy Evelyn (Conklin) Shelafoe. Joseph was of the Catholic faith. He was a skilled X-ray technician. He served in the United States Coast Guard for 4 years. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as collecting coins and woodworking. Above all, he will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather who cherished his time with his family.
Joseph is survived by his son and daughter-in-law James and Jenny Shelafoe; his two daughters and son-in-law, Shelly Jo and Logan LaRue, and Lynda Kay Hawkins; three brothers Edward Shelafoe, Steven Shelafoe, and John Shelafoe; his sister Ronda M. Paulson; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Francis Shelafoe and Dorothy Evelyn (Conklin) Shelafoe; two granddaughters, Alishia Shelafoe and Jamie Marie Shelafoe; three brothers Robert (Bob) Shelafoe, Jerry Shelafoe, and James Shelafoe; his son Roger Dean Shelafoe; and his son-in-law Maurice Melvin Hawkins.
