Joseph L. Sidor, Sr., 79, formerly of Easton and Walnutport, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the beloved husband of Carol J. (Knappenberger) Sidor, whom he married August 28, 1971. Born in Northampton on September 10, 1945, he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Hilda (Seiler) Sidor. Joseph served his country honorably and proudly as a member of the US Air Force from 1965 – 1969. Joe retired from Geo Specialty in Allentown. Prior to that, he worked briefly for Deka and also worked many years for the former Caloric Company of Topton.
In addition to his wife Carol, he will be lovingly remembered by his son: Joseph L. Sidor, Jr., and wife Theresa of Glendon, PA; grandson: Patrik Sidor; sister: Cassandra Handwerk of Lehighton; brothers: Thomas Sidor and wife Linda of Northampton; Timothy Sidor of Allentown. He was predeceased by a son, Mark Sidor in 2010.
A funeral service will be held at 7pm on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd St, Slatington. Family and friends may pay their respects from 5:30 to 7:00PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Parkison’s Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Ste 1509, New York, NY 10018.
