Joseph Darren Sitzes of Hillsboro, MO, entered into rest on Tuesday. March 25, 2025, at the age of 36 years, 10 months, and 27 days. He was born April 28, 1988, in St. Louis, MO, a son of the late Joey Lynn Sitzes who preceded him in rest on April 24, 2013, and Michelle (Mathis) McConnell and husband Carl of Hillsboro, MO who survive. Also surviving are one brother, Justin David SItzes of Hillsboro, MO, a sister, Tenessa Mobley and husband Brian of DeSoto, MO, two step-sisters, Sheena Recar of Pevely, MO, and Wendy Payton and husband Joe of Hillsboro, MO, four nephews, Daelen, Noah, Elijah, and Isaiah; four step-nieces and nephews, Roslyn, Arra, Gage, and Fynlee; and many more loving family members and friends.
After graduating from Grandview High School, Darren went on to work in guttering installation where he worked very hard. He had a strong work ethic and enjoyed seeing the tasks completed at his hands. He took pride in his work and did it to the best of his abilities. He also loved to spend time at the river, he loved fishing, he was a "fair weather hunter", he was a marksman in bowling, very artistic and loved being a computer geek, he loved his family with all his heart, he was kind and softhearted, he had a great sense of humor, and loved teasing his mother.
Joseph Darren Sitzes will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025, beginning at 11:00 am from the Cole Family Funeral Home.
A Visitation for friends and family to gather will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, beginning at 6:00 pm and lasting until 8:00 pm from the Cole Family Funeral Home.
Interment will follow the services in the Polk Cemetery in Arcadia, MO.
Pastor Cody Harbison will be officiating the services.
