TOGETHER AGAIN:
Joseph Patrick Smith, Jr. 89, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Liza's Place in Wheeling, WV. He was born on February 17, 1936, in Rayland the son of the late, Joseph and Loretta (Santa) Smith, Sr.
Joe was retired from Imperial Clevite and was Catholic by faith. He loved and trained beagle dogs and was an avid Steelers fan or whoever was winning the game as well as enjoyed watching western movies.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Ann (Patterson) Smith, in September of 2024, daughter, Marjorie Klan, grandson, Frankie Klan, siblings, Chuck, Dick, Larry Smith, Loretta Floyd and Beverly Williams.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Joseph (Kim) Smith of Dover, Lori Donaldson of MD, grandchildren, Patty (David) Wheeler, Christopher (Charlie) Donaldson, Alex Donaldson, Sheldon Scott, Joey Smith, great-grandchild, Bentley Klan, his siblings James (Mary) Smith of Dillonvale, Robert (June) Smith of Colorado Springs CO, Michael (Shela) Smith and Mary Jane (Jim) Coss both of Rayland, also sister in laws and brother in laws and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935 from 4-7, funeral service is at 6pm with the Rev. James Hoff officiating.
