Joseph L. Smuin, 92 of American Falls, Idaho passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025. He was born January 5,1933 in Robert’s Idaho to Joseph Smuin and Dorrie Ruth Abbott.
He was in the Army from 1953-1956 where he was a Combat Engineer and a Construction Equipment Engineer. After the Army he did various jobs but in 1967 he was employed by FMC where he worked for 28 years.
He married Lora Lee Orders on August 27, 1976 where they enjoyed camping, hunting, motorcycling, snowmobiling, fishing and going to the casino.
He is survived by his two Sons Larry (Jennifer) Smuin of Oregon, Jerry Smuin of Oregon, sister Jan Rawson of Pocatello, step children, Michael (Denise) Miller of American Falls, Susan Miller of St. Anthony, Shirley (Bill) Burdick of Twin Falls, Ron Miller of American Falls, and Roberta (Michael) Remmel of California, many Nieces and Nephews, countless number of Grandchilden and Great Granchildren.
He is now reunited with his parents, two sisters, his daughter, his wife of 42 years, stepson and 2 grandchildren.
Military Grave Side Services will be held on June 24th at 10:00 am.
