He is survived by his children, Betty Sokolowski of Bitely, MI, Lewis John Sokolowski II, and Mitchell Edward Sokolowski II. his brothers and sisters: Jacob (Deb) Sokolowski of Midland, Pennsylvania; Mitchell (Elaine) Sokolowski of Muskegon; Frank (Vickie) Sokolowski of Twin Lake; Roy (Susan) Sokolowski of Whitehall; Arthur (Sherri) Sokolowski of Montague; Mark (LuAnne) Sokolowski of Bitely; Edward Sokolowski of Bitely; Andrew (Caren) Sokolowski of Linden; and Linda (John) Cook of Montague. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Betty Jane Sokolowski, his two brothers, Timmy and Tommy, and his nephew, Josiah Sutton.
A Celebration of Life and Military Honors will be held on Sunday, June 22nd, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Croton American Legion. A time of visiting will follow the service at the Legion. Interment will take place at Volney Cemetery.
