Joseph Solano peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 22, 2023, age of 73. He was a native of Guatemala City, GT, and a resident of Gretna, LA. “Joe”, as he was affectionately known by family and friends served his country in the United States Air Force. Beloved husband of Ana Myriam Solano. Father of Jennifer Roth (Jason), Joseph Solano (Nicolette), Janell Stout (Jeremy), and Candice Brawn (James), bonus father of Israa Odeh, Stephanie Batres, Gabriela Batres, and Karen Batres. Grandfather of Joseph, Gabriella, Nicholas, Jonathan, Sophia, Olivia, Joselyn, Jianna, Lucas, Bianca, Charlie, and Luke. Son of the late Jose Solano and Mercedes Mendez Solano. Brother of Norma Jaeggers, Mercedes “Mercy” Potter, and the late Luis “Louie” Solano. Former husband of Patricia Lozano, also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Celebration Church, 2001 Airline Drive Metairie, LA on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until the time of service at the above named church. Interment: Will Be Private. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA.
