Joseph Benjamin Suggs, a resident of Pitt County, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022. He was born on April 26, 1954, in Pitt County to the late James Eddie Howard and Josephine Suggs. Joseph married the love of his life Janice Morning on May 7, 1994, and together they established a loving home.
He was educated in the Pitt County School System, where he graduated from North Pitt High School in Bethel, NC. Joseph was a faithful member and usher of Tabernacle Center Church of Deliverance until he became sick and unable to attend.
Joseph began his career as a Car Detailer and Service Driver at Grant Buick Mazda of Greenville, NC. Later in life he worked as a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Coordinator for Walmart where he retired.
Joseph enjoyed spending time at home with his loved ones, watching cooking shows, football and Swamp People catching alligators. He always loved going to the store to purchase a cold Mountain Dew, Milky Way candy bar, and a lucky lottery ticket. Joseph greatest joy was the quality time he spent with his two grandchildren, Bri Roberson, and Yardley Jr.
Joseph leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife of 28 years, Janice Morning
Suggs, of the home; two daughters Cherry Suggs of Greenville, NC and Angels Suggs-Jones (Maurice) of Winterville, NC; his stepson, Yardley Morning Sr. (Regina) of Greenville, NC and stepdaughter, Jacqueline Ross of Greenville, NC; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two sister and one brother; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
