Obituary of Joseph F. Thomas Sr.
Joseph F. Thomas Sr of Glen Spey passed away at home on July 8, 2025. He was 69 years old.
The son of Betty Testa and the late William D. Thomas Sr, he was born on February 1, 1956 in Scranton, PA.
Joseph lived by a simple code: love fiercely, speak truthfully. A man of rare emotional intelligence, he offered the kind of honesty that sometimes stung but always came from care-whether advising family or standing up for what was right. His generosity knew no limits; he'd give his last dollar or drop everything to help those he loved. Joseph measured his worth not in possessions, but in the lives he lifted through his selflessness. To his family, he was both a shield and a mirror-unwavering in his support, unflinching in his truth.
In adaption to his father Joseph was predeceased in life by his daughter Jamie Lyn Thomas Ford, and stepfather Rudolph Testa.
Beloved father of Joseph F. Thomas Jr, Logan R. Thomas, Amber Hendrickson, Tiffany Hendrickson and Michael Hendrickson. Cherished son of Betty Testa. Dear brother of William D. Thomas Sr (Dianne), Donald W. Thomas Sr, Mark A. Testa D.O. (Debra), Ret. Lt. Col. Michael A. Testa (Lizzette), Judy Testa (William Daly), Donna Testa Lynch (Arthur J. Lynch III). Stepbrother of Rudolph Testa (Donna), Pamela Testa, Frances Testa Maginely and Jodi Testa Pharr. Uncle of Warren Gallo and many other nieces and nephews.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday from 1 to 3:30PM at the Knight - Auchmoody Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place 3:30PM at the funeral home. Following services the final committal will be private.
Please make use of the tribute wall by leaving a memory or condolence for the family.
