Joseph Lee Topper

Mr. Joseph Lee Topper, age 51, of McMinnville, TN passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Ascension St. Thomas River Park. He was born on April 21, 1974 in Bucyrus, OH to parents Francis Lloyd Topper and Phyllis Mary Closterman Topper. He was of the Christian faith and was a 23-year employee of Yorozu Automotive. Joey proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps where he showed dedication and strength. His commitment didn't end when he returned back home as he became a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was a lifetime member of the Bobby Ray Detachment Marine Corps League.

He is survived by his wife who loved him dearly Shara "Rennie" Topper, daughter Taylor Ann Topper, father Joe Topper, sister Tammy Sue Topper, nephew Iasonas Emmanuel Trakakis-Topper, and sister-in-law Dana Cantrell (Anton) Varshavchik. He is preceded in death by his mother Phyllis Mary Closterman.

Funeral service for Mr. Joey Topper is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 03, 2026 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Gardens Of Memory Cemetery. Military grave rites will be conducted by the Marine Corps League Bobby Ray Detachment #1377. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and again on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. at McMinnville Funeral Home.
