Micah Lane Denning

Micah Denning, age 81, of Portland, passed away on Monday, February 23rd, 2026 at his residence in Portland. Mr. Denning was born in McMinnville, TN on February 20th, 1945 to the late Gaylon Benton Denning & the late Jewel Lee Eaden.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Denning was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel B. (Carol) Denning & Terry Eaden Denning.

Mr. Denning is survived by wife, Georgia Claudette Denning; sons, Timothy Lane Denning (Melissa) & Mark Wise Denning (Michelle); grandchildren, Colin Denning (Casey Elizabeth), Courtney King (Brooks), Mitchell Lane Denning (Shelby Lauren), & Andrew Dillon Denning; great grandchildren, Brock King; stepbrother, Bobby Agee; & numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Mr. Denning will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026 at Martin's General Baptist Chapel Church with Bro. Terry Howser, Lawrence Gilliam, & Mitchell Denning.

Visitation for Mr. Denning will be on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026 from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm with a Masonic Service starting at 7:00 pm at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home & on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Martin's Chapel General Baptist Church.

Interment will be in Martin's Chapel General Baptist Church Cemetery.

Colin Denning, Brooks King, Andrew Denning, Mitchell Denning, Mike Felts, & Gerryn Howser will serve as pallbearers. Russell Breece will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
