Joseph Lee "Joe" Trippy, 54, of West Middlesex, PA, passed away at 2:14am on April 26, 2025, in his residence unexpectedly.
Joe grew up in Ripley New York and graduated from Ripley Central School. After Graduation Joe joined the U.S. Navy and was on the USS Boulder. He served in the Persian Gulf War on the USS America. He became a search and rescue swimmer and a shellback. Later he joined the Army where he was a cook, as that was also his job in the Navy. Joe then graduated from New Castle School of Trades with a certificate in welding and started working at Wheatland Tube Zekelman Industries for 20 years. He was serving on the union board of Local #1660 and was the president of the Wheatland Tube Golf League.
Joe loved hunting and always had a hunting story to tell. Most recently he would share his African Safari hunting trip with everyone that he went on with his boys. He loved all sports including baseball, hockey, football, and bowling. Joe loved Nascar and attended some races, most recently the Daytona 500. He started collecting Nascar memorabilia and loved getting drivers signatures on his cooler and cards. Joe loved coaching and being an umpire at youth baseball. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and recently joined the Wheatland American Legion and planned on joining their motorcycle group. He also had a love for music and attended many concerts. Joe loved talking to people and making friends everywhere he went. He loved his cat Garfield and his dog Rocky. The most important above all is his family, who miss him tremendously. He was a fun, kind, loving father, husband, brother, son and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Joe is survived by his wife, Vickie (Janoski) Trippy, whom he married May 18, 1996 and she survives at home. Also surviving are 2 sons, Joseph Trippy of West Middlesex and Anthony Trippy of Hermitage, PA; 3 sisters, Shannon Cave of Girard, PA, Sindy Gonzales of Las Vegas, NV and Victoria Ortiz of TX.
