Joseph Valigorsky Obituary

Born and educated in Cohoes, Joe was a lifelong resident of the city. He was the son of the late Joseph J. Valigorsky, Sr. and Angeline Obzud Valigorsky.
Joe was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Vietnam War. He worked at Colonie Center for many years and then at Picotte Companies in Albany until his retirement. He belonged to the ET Ruane American Legion Post in Cohoes as well as the PAA in Cohoes. He was also a lifelong communicant of St. Michael's Church in Cohoes.
Joe is survived by his beloved sister and brother, Pauline V. Jesmain of Latham and Dennis M. Valigorsky (Linda) of Stillwater. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Angeline "Angie" Valigorsky and Joanne Jesmain and by his sister-in-law, Velma Valigorsky.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:15 a.m. from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes and at 10 a.m. in St. Michael's Church. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home Friday from 4-7 p.m.
