Joseph Anthony "Tony" Vogele Jr

Joseph Anthony (Tony) Vogele, Jr., age 91, of Largo, Florida passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2025. He was born in Rock Island, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Patricia Vogele. Tony is survived by his brother Gregory Vogele (Charlene) and five loving children; Joseph (Jay) Vogele III (Elizabeth), Elizabeth (Beth) Hollen (Stanley), Mary (Mimi) Lipe (Brian), Kari Rzepecki (Robert) and Hillary Maziarka (Robert). He was loved and adored by eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Tony enjoyed a good life doing the things he loved. He spent most of his professional life in the banking industry, retiring at age 89. He took pleasure in being a therapeutic clown for Morton Plant

Hospital, volunteering for Suncoast Hospice and being an avid Rays fan. Tony was also a brother in the Knights of Columbus. He was a man who valued his friends and loved to tell them jokes. A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 200 78th Ave NE, St. Petersburg, FL starting at 1:00 p.m. until the funeral mass at 2:00 p.m. In memory of Tony, donations may be made to Chippiannock Cemetery, 2901-12 th Street, Rock Island, IL 61201.
