Joseph M. Wakim, 91, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Thursday, April 10, 2025 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the husband of the late Claire (Csisar) Wakim.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Edward and Lena (Abraham) Wakim.
He was the father of Joseph (Dawn) Wakim, Jr., Michael (Pamela) Wakim, John (Kimberly) Wakim, the late Diane Beaulieu, and Luann (Jack) Correia; stepfather of Lori Mulberry, Lynda (Mario) Rodriguez, and the late Lisa Mulberry; and the former spouse of Marie (Desjardian) Wakim. He leaves 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Moran Wakem, John Wakin, James Maron, George Maron, Rose Yaghoobian and Lillian George.
His funeral will be held at 9am, Wednesday, April 23, from the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, followed by the Divine Liturgy at 10am in St. George Maronite Catholic Church, Cranston. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 22, from 4pm until 7pm in the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are greatly appreciated to St. George's Maronite Catholic Church, 1493 Cranston St., Cranston, RI 02920.
