Joseph F. Welch

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Joseph F. Welch Sr. Who left us on January 13th, 2025, just one day before his 89th birthday. Joe was a man of great wisdom, boundless love, and unwavering devotion to his family, with whom he cherished spending his time. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ann Welch, and their four children and their families: Joe Welch, Jr. and Vickie Welch, Jay Welch and Beckie Welch, Michelle-Ann Weir and BJ Weir, and Lisa Romo and Elias Romo, along with their children. Joe's legacy lives on through his 9 cherished grandchildren and 8 wonderful great-grandchildren. A proud and dedicated United States Marine Corps veteran, Joe served for over 23 years, after which he worked for the County of San Diego Humane Society for 20 years. He finally enjoyed a well-deserved retirement, content in the love of his family and the fruits of a life well-lived. Joe will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A service will be held for Joe at the First Presbyterian Church located at 2001 S. El Camino Real in Oceanside, CA on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
