Joseph C Wheaton age, 81 of Cleveland Tennessee, went home to be with his Lord and savior on Monday, January 5th 2026 at his residence, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born July 1st 1944 in Detroit, Michigan Joseph was the son of Lloyd and Virginia Wheaton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraline, Wheaton and children, Tony Rogers, Wayne Wheaton and Carol Wheaton.
Joseph's greatest joy in life were his family and grandchildren and his deep faith. He loved reading his Bible and had a heart for ministry, dedicating his life to sharing the word of God, with those around him, Joseph loved being outside fixing up his home and cherished his wife as she was his world. Joseph was a humble man with a big heart and would help anybody in need.
He is survived by his children. Daniel (Rhonda), Wheaton, of Cleveland Tennessee, Joseph (Paula), Wheaton, of Calhoun, Georgia, Laila (Ron) Otto of Shelby township, Michigan, Rita (Aaron) Bogue plainville, Georgia, he also leaves behind nieces and nephews and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home - The Ridge Sanctuary with Pastor Lloyd Wheaton officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Gordon Memorial Gardens at 4:00 pm.
