Joseph Williams Obituary
With hearts full of sorrow and gratitude for the time we had, we remember the life of Joseph Brent Williams, who passed away on April 19, 2025, at 2:26 a.m. at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was 21 years young.
Joseph was born on December 23, 2003, at 1:40 p.m. in High Point, North Carolina, to David and Emily Williams. From the very beginning, he brought joy to everyone who knew him. He is survived by his loving parents, David, and Emily; his beloved brother Seth Williams and Seth's girlfriend Tallia Perdew; grandparents Jerry and Jenny Tollison, Dean Williams, and Norma Fisher; uncles Derrick Tollison and Michael Joyce; aunts Sharon Richmond, Heather Beaver, and Lizzie Daniel and her husband Tyler. He is also deeply mourned by his girlfriend, Megan Coble, and a wide circle of extended family and friends.
Joseph was preceded in death by his great-grandmothers Violet Martin and Dorothy Tollison, grandmother Shirley Hopkins, grandfather Tracy Richmond, and his cousin Marcus Tollison. Joseph was a kind soul with a gentle heart, known for his unwavering love for his mama, his dad, his brother, and his girlfriend Megan. His love for them was full and fierce, and he gave it freely. He believed in hard work and earning every step forward in life-values that shaped the honest, grounded man he was becoming.
Music was Joseph's sanctuary. He found peace and joy in playing his guitar, often retreating into melodies to unwind and reflect. He loved being outdoors-whether climbing, exploring, or near water, nature always called to him. The beach was his favorite place, where he felt most at peace, most himself.
Joseph was an old soul-wise beyond his years, gentle in spirit, and instantly lovable to all who met him. He had a way of making people feel seen and loved. He had dreams that he was working hard to fulfill. He was taking courses to become HVAC certified and building a life of intention and love with Megan by his side. He lived honestly, loved deeply, and laughed often-even if he would be the first to tell you how much he loathed doing the dishes.
His life, though far too short, was full of love, and his presence a gift. His memory will be cherished forever.
